SNOWBEQUE STATUS UPDATE (2/23/26; 9:42 PM) Hooray for yet another snow day! Our 2nd ever two-feet-of-snow-BQ (aka SnowBeSnowdayBeque AKA SnowBeIronicallyDelayedDueToSnowBeque) will officially take place on Tuesday February 24th at 1 pm. Wear snowpants. Bring sleds if you want. Note: there is NO parking on our street though you may be able to park at the library and walk over.
SNOWBEQUE STATUS UPDATE (2/23/26; 4:31 PM) Important and unprecedented update: Tonight's Snowbeque is postponed due to SNOW! First time that's ever happened :) With the blizzard still raging, we realized we could grill for ourselves but it would be near impossible for anyone else to join us. Snowbeque will take place TOMORROW Tuesday February 24, Time TBD pending school closures. Stay tuned and Stay warm!
SNOWBEQUE STATUS UPDATE (2/22/26; 9:28 PM) With another 16+" projected to fall overnight and no school tomorrow, there's only one thing to do.... Snowbeque! This is only the 2nd time in Snowbeque history that we are having a Two-Feet-of-Snowbeque (the last one having taken place in 2015).
The 2nd Two-Feet-of-snowbeque will take place tomorrow, Monday February 23rd at 5 pm. (we were going to do lunch like our typical snow-be-snowday-bQs but the blizzard will still be pretty strong then so we are hoping that you might brave the trek over for 5 pm.) Happy snow Day!
SNOWBEQUE STATUS UPDATE (1/25/26; 7:24 PM) Our ruler has disappeared in the snow and school is officially canceled tomorrow so.... The 8th First-Foot-of-snowbeque will take place tomorrow, Monday January 26th at 12:30 pm. It's going to be cold so bundle up! Fire Table will be lit and sledding will hopefully keep the kids warm. We will come inside to warm up as needed. Who thinks we need an extra snowbeque if we get to 2'?
SNOWBEQUE STATUS UPDATE (1/25/26; 12:53 PM) It's happening!!!! Our ruler is ready and so are we! Since the snow is expected to be heaviest this evening, we are currently planning for a snowbeque tomorrow (Monday) midday. Will update here once we hit 12" and know more. Get your gear ready!

SNOWBEQUE STATUS UPDATE (1/19/26; 4:49 Pm) Yes, we know it snowed but we already had our first snow BBQ and we need a bit more to have another one. Keep your rulers out and let's hope for some additional snow in the week to come so we can finally have another first-foot-of-snow-bq. (last one was 4 years ago!)

SNOWBEQUE STATUS UPDATE (12/3/25; 2:04 pM) Many experts have pondered the question of "to SnowBEQue or not to snowBEque," and the results are in: It was on the edge but was more of a dusting since we couldn't really measure it and most of it is melted by now anyway...
Alas, we will keep waiting but We are confident it is coming soon.
SNOWBEQUE STATUS UPDATE (12/3/25; 8:41 AM) It's a close call. By the standard meteorological/colloquial definition, "a 'Dusting' of snow means a very thin, barely measurable coating - enough to whiten the ground but not enough to measure officially."
We may need to see if this lasts the day or melts before evening. Stay tuned. if you have a strong opinion on the matter, feel free to share via email. [Note: for planning purposes, if the snowbeque does end up happening tonight it would be at 7 pm]
